They'll cover applied and decorative arts (second ed. in preparation), architecture (1984), sculpture, and painting and graphic arts (both in preparation). This third edition updates and expands on the first (1974) and second (1979) editions with coverage of the period from 1840 through 1988. It contains 2,051 annotated entries citing major reference books written in Western European languages, and available in the major libraries of the US.
