Overview

Mitch Schultz received within a short period of time, two immense blows. Both his wife, Elaine, as well as their twelve-year old son, Travis, are diagnosed with brain tumors. Elaine lives, after a very serious operation. Travis dies.

The suffering they experience could bring a person to the conclusion that God doesn't care about what happens in their lives. In Does God Care? Mitch Schultz describes in dairy form, in an honest and open manner how they were all drawn closer to God as a family. His picture of God as a loving, caring God, who is involved in our suffering, is not weakened, but rather strengthened by these experiences. He has discovered anew who this God is whom he has known for years.

Mitch and his wife, Elaine, along with their two other children Breanna and Brett now live near Milwaukee Wisconsin where Mitch serves as a pastor. Previous to this Mitch served for six years as a pastor in Warrington England with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Mitch grew up in Irian Jaya, Indonesia to missionary parents.
