Synopsis
Is the tooth fairy real? Just ask Fluffy! When Wade loses his tooth, Fluffy (who finds the tooth in his cage) embarks on a nighttime adventure to put the tooth under Wade's pillow. Along the way, he climbs a precarious tower and braves a big cat named Brutus. Exhausted, Fluffy curls up on Wade's pillow to sleep. Just as he's closing his eyes, he sees twinkling lights. Could it be the tooth fairy? The next morning, Fluffy's back in his cage with a present of his own. Mission accomplished!
Children's Literature
Fluffy the guinea pig tries to convince himself that he has a loose tooth when he learns about the Tooth Fairy from Wade, one of the students in the classroom where he is a pet. His fellow guinea pig, Kiss, explains that guinea pig teeth do not fall out. "We gnaw on things to wear down our teeth," Kiss tells Fluffy. Otherwise, our teeth would keep growing and we couldn't eat, she adds. Fluffy goes home with Wade for the weekend. They have a tooth fairy adventure when Wade loses the tooth that had fallen out earlier in the day. Will the Tooth Fairy come and leave a present for Wade without a tooth under his pillow? Will there be anything in it for Fluffy? Young readers will warm to this new romp featuring their favorite guinea pig Fluffy. Books about Fluffy can be found among titles in the publisher's "Hello Reader!" series.
