Gr 2-4-Slim series entries on formal art concepts. Lines is slightly more successful than Form, which is a difficult concept to explain and to distinguish from shape. Both books utilize clear pictures of the natural world, art objects, and reproductions. Picture captions pose questions encouraging readers to look more closely at the illustrations, while Loopi the Fantastic Line or one of his friends often highlights the concept.
