Coronado explored thousands of miles of North America but instead of finding riches, only found Indian villages of grass huts. The series of which this book is a part, "Discover the Life of an Explorer," profiles some of the world's most famous early explorers, following their amazing adventures into distant lands looking for riches and territory to conquer. It also includes titles about James Cook, Hernan Cortes and Sir Francis Drake. The books would serve well in either an elementary school library or classroom as biographies or as social studies resources.
