Author and lawyer Ventura has produced another useful text on the topic of bankruptcy. His The Bankruptcy Kit ( LJ 6/1/91) guided readers through the process of filing for bankruptcy. This new work focuses on the emotional aftermath of declaring bankruptcy, explores the common causes of financial difficulties, and provides a strategy for rebuilding confidence and credit-worthiness. There is guidance on dealing with the IRS and an instructive chapter on developing sound spending habits. The fat appendix includes bibliographies and lists of consumer protection agencies.
