About the Author, C. Douglas Kroll
C. Douglas Kroll is an assistant professor of history at the College of the Desert. A graduate of the Coast Guard Academy and former Coast Guard officer, he later served in the U.S. Navy as a chaplain, retiring as a commander in the Naval Reserve. Kroll is the author of numerous articles dealing with Coast Guard and naval history. This book is his second. Kroll lives in Palm Desert, California.
