About the Author, Jen Lin-Liu

Jen Lin-Liu is a freelance writer based in Beijing. She is currently working on a book about China, through the lens of food, that will be published in 2008 by Harcourt. Raised in Southern California and educated at Columbia University in New York, she first moved to China in 2000 on a Fulbright scholarship.

Sherisse Pham graduated from the University of British Columbia and then quickly took off to Asia to set up camp. After a year in Taiwan, she sailed across the straits and took up residence on the mainland. She has lived in China for 3 years and is currently a Beijing-based freelancer who enjoys skipping around the nation’s capital finding interesting, little-known boutiques/ restaurants/curio shops and trumpeting their fabulousness for all to enjoy.
