About the Author, Peter Stone

Born in London, England, Peter Stone started his working life in the Foreign Office in Downing Street before moving on to translating and journalism. He has resided over 27 years in different areas of Spain including Málaga, Barcelona, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and also lived in Greece and North Africa. A lifelong lover of Hispanic culture, history, and language, he made Madrid his home in 1998, and his publications on the Spanish capital include Madrid Escapes. He has contributed to a wide variety of international magazines and guidebooks, including Time Out, Insight, and Intelliguide, and is the author of Frommer’s Barcelona, 2nd Edition.
