About the Author, Lee Mylne

Lee Mylne first lived in Melbourne for a couple of years in the early 1980s and although a lot of other places got in the way in the intervening years, found her way back in 2004 and has lived here ever since. She has spent almost all her working life as a journalist and author and has travelled to more than 40 countries. Born and raised in New Zealand, Lee has been a resident of Australia since 1986. She is a co-author of Frommer’s Australia and Australia for Dummies, the author of Frommer’s Portable Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and a contributor to Frommer’s Dream Vacations. She is also the co-editor and a contributor to the anthology Best Foot Forward, 30 Years of Australian Travel Writing, and is a Life Member and past president of the Australian Society of Travel Writers.
