About the Author, Charles Mims

Charles Mims, author of "Cuppa Christ", has been the pastor at South Peninsula Baptist Church in the heart of Daytona Beach for sixteen years. In that time he has developed numerous innovative and exciting ministries to help a traditional style church remain relevant for a contemporary community. He sits on the board of directors for "Salt and Light for Jamaica", a missionary support foundation supporting ongoing missions on the island of Jamaica, and is the Senior Editor for Creative Resources Media. He is currently serving as the moderator for the Halifax Baptist Association of Churches. Dr. Mims holds a Bachelor of Theology from The Baptist College of Florida, and a Master of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Pastoral Theology from the same institution. He and his wife, Beth, have two children: Brianna and Sami, who have both grown up in Daytona Beach and fully participate in the life of the community.
