Overview
Layton has bullies but what hurts him the most is that his best friend, Rick, betrayed him. Together, Rick and his bullies take pleasure in tormenting him daily. At a birthday party, when he's humiliated by them, he decides to get back at them for good. Finding inspiration in the old vampire movies, he frightens them out of their wits.
As he struggles with bullies and pretending to be a chocolate-loving vampire, he also learns to deal with family relationships in a constructive way. In the end, Layton learns to be more confident and assertive, yet forgiving of his enemies and loving of his real friends.
