Overview

Heroes don't always come out of West Point or the Oval Office; sometimes they come out of the ghetto. It's 2009 and Martha Washington is desperate to break out of the black hole of the Chicago slums. When she hears the call to arms for the Amazon War, she sees it not as her turn to do her part for the greater good - it's her chance to fight for her own freedom, and that's a fight she's not willing to lose! But somewhere along the way, Martha's battle grows beyond one woman's struggle for independence.
