Overview

Narrowing the field of great golf courses in Florida is an enormous undertaking, but here are detailed profiles and photos of fifty of the best resorts and daily-fee courses in the Sunshine State, including all the information you need to call up, make a tee time, and play them all.
Featured are courses for golfers of every ability, courses that are largely unknown outside their neighborhoods, and some of the most famous golf courses in the country.

About the Author, Rob Armstrong

Author Rob Armstrong has drawn a series of interesting and informative word portraits, buttressed by photos and course maps, of the best resort and daily-fee golf courses in Virginia and West Virginia. For nearly twenty-five years, Armstrong was an award-winning correspondent for CBS News. He now contributes to various golf publications, teaches at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, and tries to keep his handicap in the single digits. His yearly jaunts to the Emerald Isle to hit the links led him to write Golfing in Ireland: The Most Complete Guide for Adventurous Golfers (pb), also published by Pelican.
