About the Author, Judy Tremore


Judy Tremore is a veteran reporter, editor, and business writer. A native of the Chicago area, she has lived in Michigan for more than thirty years.

Nancy Burke Smith has been a freelance writer specializing in grant proposals and other writing for nonprofit organizations since 1987. To date, Smith has garnered and estimated $20 million in grant funds on behalf of her clients. She served for one year as interim program director at the Frey Foundation, where she reviewed grants and made recommendations for funding to the board of trustees.
