About the Author, Joseph Helszajn

About the author Joseph Helszajn received an MSEE degree from the University of Santa Clara, CA, a PhD degree from the University of Leeds, a DEng degree from the University of Leeds and a DSc degree from Heriot-Watt University. He has held a number of positions in the microwave industry and is now Professor of Microwave Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. Professor Helszajn is a Fellow of the IEE, the IEEE, the Royal Society of Arts, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, and the Royal Academy of Engineers. He was awarded the Insignia Award of the City and Guilds of London Institute and he is the recipient of the 1995 IEE J. J. Thomson Medal. He is Honorary Editor of the IEE Proceedings on Microwaves, Antennas and Propogation.
