About the Author, Chad Fahs

Chad Fahs is an author whose work includes the "MacWorld DVD Studio Pro Bible", "Final Cut Pro 4 for Dummies", "Flash MX Design for TV and Video" (with several chapters on After Effects), "Apple Pro Training Series: DVD Studio Pro 2", and "Mac OS X in Ten Simple Steps or Less" (including iMovie). Chad also writes, directs, produces, and consults for a variety of projects and clients, including the original Apple-certified DVD Studio Pro training course, official courseware for Ulead's DVD Workshop, an e-learning project for Adobe, and Web design work for United Airlines, among others. In addition, Chad has taught video editing and animation as a part-time faculty member in the Multimedia Arts department at the College of DuPage outside of Chicago. He has also operated an Avid editing studio in Chicago and lived in Los Angeles, where he provided training and consulting services for companies like All4DVD and Digital Film Tree and press kit material for an act on Geffen/Interscope. Chad is a certified Apple instructor and frequently teaches Apple certified classes and custom courses in Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio Pro for Future Media Concepts in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., with students from the White House, State Department, NASA, and NPR. Currently, he is creating content for an all High Definition visual arts channel called MOOV on the VOOM HD satellite network, where over the past year he has utilized a variety of software and original media to create many hours of High Definition programming.
