Publishers Weekly

Back in print with new cover art and a fresh design, the 1975 Hooray For Me! by Remy Charlip and Lilian Moore will transport readers back to the "me" decade. Vera B. Williams's watercolors depict dancing people of all colors-yellow, brown, even green and blue-celebrating themselves and their family relationships: phrases like "I am my big sister's baby brother" and "I am my cousin's cousin," painted in wild colors, are part of the pictures. New page borders by Williams add to the psychedelic effect.

Children's Literature - Mary Clayton Rowen

The text explores children's relationships to themselves, to others and to pets. For example, you can be a Dad, a brother, and Uncle and a son, but you are still just one person. The book could be used as an introduction to exploring the child's place among the people in his/her world. Bright, colorful, full-page watercolor illustrations enhance this jubilant story. 1996(orig.
