The I Wonder books demonstrate how everyday items are made. This is a good idea for a series, and it's well done. In easy language, the authors show how loggers cut down trees and take them to a factory where they are turned into paper. Each step of the process is clearly explained in the short text and color photographs. Although the ending is slightly abrupt, there is enough information here for those doing beginning reports or for browsers. This can also be used as a beginning reader for nonfiction fans.
