Overview

This book is intended to give Texas residents a basic understanding of the laws regarding wills, joint property and other types of ownership of property that affect estate planning. It includes information on appointing a guardian and conservator for minor children.

It covers information regarding estate and inheritance taxes, including the recent changes in the federal schedule identifying the amounts exempted. New sections on endowments and probate, and appendices covering such information as Texas state laws, sample filled-in forms, and twenty wills tailored for specific situations are also included.

A complete glossary and thorough index, plus easy-to-use, blank tear-out forms make this an excellent tool for anyone wanting to be sure that his or her estate passes to the correct parties.
