Continuing the high quality of the Opposing Viewpoints series, this volume presents a wealth of information about human sexuality in a succinct and readable format. The book is divided into five chapters ("What Is the Purpose of Sex?" "What Sexual Norms Should Society Uphold?" "How Are Gender and Sexual Orientation Determined?" "What Constitutes Normal Behavior?" and "How Is Society's View of Human Sexuality Changing?" ), each including five to eight articles presenting a variety of viewpoints and a bibliography of periodical sources. A selection of chapter-keyed questions useful for classroom discussion, a list of contact organizations, and a bibliography of books round out the text. The volume's only shortcoming is occasionally vague citations of contributors' credentials.
