I Can Divide, I Need No Guide!

This book in the "Math Made Fun" series teaches children the abstract math concept of learning how to divide in a way they can understand and implement in their life. One example that is used shows a plate with eight peas. One boy wants to share the peas with his friend so he divides the peas into two groups, leaving both children with four peas to eat. The book also shows a math equation and names each of the parts. The difficult word "quotient" is described in more detail at the bottom of the page to give children a better understanding of the word. These colorful photographs complement the text in teaching the concepts of division to children. The book is designed to help children with math and reading skills at the same time. While the young reader is learning important math skills, he or she is also increasing vocabulary and improving reading comprehension.
