Gr 9 Up-An anthology of articles representing a variety of viewpoints about the seriousness of the problem, whether it adversely affects the U.S., the treatment of illegal immigrants, and how the government should respond. They are drawn from books, periodicals, and newspapers from 1992 and later. The selections, while helpful to report writers and debaters, tend to be dense and dry. Sidebars-short quotations set off in boldface type-serve to break up the text. A valuable list of addresses is appended giving both the purpose and point of view for each related organization.
