In Peril on the Sea

During the Second World War the Royal Canadian Navy expanded from a tiny service of 10 ships in 1939 to become the third largest Allied navy by 1945. Its primary role was convoy escort in the North Atlantic to keep open the vital lifeline carrying supplies to Britain. Donald E. Graves is an internationally renowned military historian best known for his books on the War of 1812, but also specializing in the Second World War. He has written many books, including Where Right and Glory Lead and South Albertas and is a former member of the writing team for the official history of the Royal Canadian Navy.
