Through carefully planned literature-based fiction and nonfiction activities, each title includes organizational tips, special techniques for classroom management such as using clever rhymes and special sign language, literature pictures, and a diagram of a sample room layout. Thirty-six one-hour lessons at each grade level follow six instructional strands consisting of literary skills, literature appreciation, techniques of learning, comprehension, writing experience, and oral language with a wide variety of related activities.
