Synopsis

Jacine, the newly hybridized human-plant-insect-astral being, her partner, the ancient succubus Valaquiel, and her best friend, the (she would tell you) entirely unremarkable Marcus were firmly convinced that they had the necessary skills to take over daily operations of Kline & Felter's Books, New, Used, and Rare from its dragon and kobold owners during their leave of absence. But with Jacine in an inexplicable state of collapse, her mysterious hive sisters nowhere to be found, and the store under siege by legions of the sidhe, Marcus and Valaquiel find themselves in a desperate hunt for the means to save Jacine's life in a world where all realms, seen and unseen, collide. This book is a National Novel Writing Month 2010 winner, and the sequel to the novels "Imago" and "Ecdysis."
