Introducing Persons

Available in paperback, Introducing Persons aims to bring the reader to think about some of the most central and interesting issues in the philosophy of the mind. Some of the topics include: the problem of other minds; arguments both for and against the existence of the soul; a discussion of the bundle-theory of the mind; behaviorism; functionalism; mind/brain identity; personal identity; and the possibility of after-life. Throughout, the emphasis is on the arguments for and against the various theories considered, with readers also being encouraged to criticize for themselves.
