Lawrence E. Shapiro, PhD, is an internationally known child psychologist and parenting expert in Norwalk, CT. He has written over fifty books for parents, children, and mental health professionals.

Hideko Takahashi was born and raised in Japan. She graduated from Doshisha University, Kyoto, Japan, and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She has illustrated many children's books, including Come to My Party and Other Shape Poems. Her favorite things to paint are kids, bugs, and dogs.
