Breathless with adoration, this account is more eulogy than biography. Still, many middle-graders will enjoy reading the life story of the woman who "was said to be the closest thing to a princess the American people had ever had." The pictures in black and white and in color on every page are posed and public, but the text does make clear Onassis' courage and dignity, especially in the moving chapters on the assassination and its aftermath. Unfortunately, no sources are listed.Book Details
