Library Journal

Editor Brown introduces the biblical concept of Kairos as a special time within history when God offers God's people new possibilities through repentance and conversion. Contemporary concern with the concept was initiated by publication of the South African ``Kairos Document'' in 1985, which was followed by ``Kairos: Central America'' and ``The Road to Damascus'' (from Africa, Central America, and Asia)--all reprinted here. Brown concludes by asking whether it is time for a Kairos document here and listing 14 items he proposes for such a document. Most highly recommended for seminary and large public libraries.
