Children's Literature

As in the rest of Carolrhoda's "Globetrotters Club" series, a colorful blend of image and text presents the many facets of life in this vibrant African nation to the upper elementary aged reader. Contents cover history and cultural mix, family life, a smattering of Kiswahili (with a pronunciation guide to help), holidays, education, and more. Also included are a glossary of boldfaced words, reading list, and an index. Much of the same content, including some of the same photographs, is presented for younger readers in the corresponding title Kenya, by the same author, in the publisher's "A Ticket To..." series.
