Synopsis

A radical innovator, a pioneer of new artistic form German expressionist painter and graphic artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938), co-founder of the BrΓΌcke movement, produced some of the most outstanding woodcuts and powerful expressionist works of the 20th century. Tragically, he committed suicide after having his work condemned as "degenerate" by the Nazis. About the Series:
