About the Author, Walter Scott

Sir Walter Scott (1771–1832) was a prolific Scottish historical novelist and poet. His poetry and novels include The Heart of Midlothian, Ivanhoe, and Rob Roy. He was one of the most widely read authors in the world for most of the 19th century. Linda M. Farquharson is an artist and a printmaker whose specialty is relief printing.
