Synopsis
Language in Use is a new course for learners of English at pre-intermediate level. It is intended for learners who have already studied some English, either recently or some time ago, and who now need to develop their overall competence before moving on to intermediate level. The course has a dual syllabus, in which units dealing with vocabulary alternate with units focusing on grammar. This provides systematic exposure to the most important features of English at this level, as well as natural recycling of language in a variety of contexts throughout the course.
