Overview

A Preview of Law School and Legal Reasoning

Law school has the reputation of being one of the hardest academic programs. It is a reputation well earned. However, Law School Basics is chock-full of insights and strategies that will prepare you well and give you a head start on the competition.

Law School Basics presents a thorough overview of law school, legal reasoning, and legal writing. It was written for those who are considering law school; for those who are about to start law school; and for those who are interested in knowing more about lawyering and the legal process.

Law School Basics was written with one overriding goal: to enlighten you about everything the author wishes he had known before starting law school.

Synopsis

English offers perhaps the richest vocabulary of all languages, in part because its words are culled from so many languages. It is a shame that we do not tap this rich source more often in our daily conversation to express ourselves more clearly and precisely. Many a vocabulary book lists esoteric words we quickly forget or feel self-conscious using. However, there is a bounty of choice words between the common and the esoteric that often seem be just on the tip of our tongue. Vocabulary 4000 brings these words to the fore.

Editorials

Butterfly Poet

I sent this book to my 17 yr old granddaughter who has been dreaming about being a lawyer for some years but was also interested in psycology. Now that she's at the age of trying to decide what college to go to she couldn't make up her mind which to major in but when she started reading this book, she became convinced to go into law. She was very impressed by the why it answered all her questions and doubts.
