One of six in the "All About Fall" series, this colorful book uses large photos, minimal text, and repetition of words and phrases to support emergent readers. The text discusses some of the visual changes in trees that fall brings, such as leaves changing colors and eventually falling, and the fun we experience playing in fallen leaves. The young girl on the cover is shown with leaves in her hair as well as a beautiful orange maple leaf in her hand. Even in this cover picture young readers can see that there is a big difference between leaves from a maple tree and those from an oak tree that have turned brown and gone to seed. The concepts support National Science Foundation standards for early elementary students earth and life science studies.
