About the Author, Gordon W. Brown

GORDON W. BROWN studied law to become and more knowledgeable teacher with expertise in the legal field. He attended Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA, at night for four years, while teaching during the day. After law school, he became a member of the Massachusetts Bar and took a position as a professor at North Shore Community College, Danvers, MA, where he taught for the next 30 years. Before ending his 38 year teaching career, he taught business, secretarial, and paralegal subjects at Pepperell High School, Pepperell, MA; Endicott College, Beverly, MA; and North Shore Community College. In addition to teaching, he also opened a law office in Beverly, MA, and enjoyed a full-time career of practicing law, writing textbooks, and being a husband to his wife, Jane. He is also the father of 6 very special children, and has 12 grandchildren. In 1998, Mr. Brown was awarded the Outstanding Educator Award from his alma mater, Salem State College. Currently, Mr. Brown continues to be a member of the Massachusetts and Federal Bars.
