About the Author, Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), was the 26th President of the United States. His politics led the U.S. more deeply into global affairs, and his leadership helped to found the Progressive Movement. He was also a writer, naturalist, and soldier as well as a politician. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906. He lived by his slogan, β€œspeak softly and carry a big stick.”
