Children's Literature

Librarians do a lot more than read books all day. While learning about the work of librarians, readers will also learn about what you can do at the library. Readers are introduced to the process of checking out books, how books and magazines are selected, as well as the different kinds of libraries. This is an excellent book for beginning career exploration with young children. Classroom teachers may want to develop a unit on careers using these books as the starting point.
