Overview

Documenting the endless manifestations of salsa music and dance throughout the world since the 1950s, this survey makes use of Rondón's exhaustive investigation and more than 380 photographs to capture the salsa culture. From the birth of salsa on the streets of New York and Cuba to the present-day festivals that spring up throughout the world in any city that has a Latin population, this anthology is an homage to salsa, its culture, and the people who continue to recreate it.
