About the Author, H. M. Tomlinson

Henry Major Tomlinson (1873–1958) was a British writer and journalist. He began his career at a newspaper, where he specialized in articles about ships and traveling. Known for his anti-war writings, he was an official correspondent for the British Army in World War I, but left disillusioned and returned home to work for The Nation. He is the author of Great Sea Stories of All Nations, All Our Yesterdays, and Below London Bridge, among others.
