Gr 2-4-Bare introduces young readers to llamas through many fine-quality, full-color photographs; a large print text; and lots of white space. However, while the information will be useful for reports, the book's poor organization may cause confusion. It jumps from discussing the animal's ancestors and relatives, to its uses, to its feet conformation, to its sociability, etc. The facts are all there, but at times, the text reads like extended captions for the pictures rather than a complete narrative.
