About the Author, Barbara Brackman

Barbara Brackman has written many books about quilts and their history; her most recent is Facts and Fabrications: Unraveling the History of Quilts and Slavery. She designs reproduction fabrics for Moda and consults for museums. A member of the Quilters’ Hall of Fame, she lives in Lawrence, KS.
