Overview

Wade Smith is a worked-out hottie with a rocksolide portfolio, a beautiful home, and a good heart. There's just the little problem of his serious crush on his former childhood friend and hunky pro quarterback, Colton Jennings. But Colton has a secret of his own, one that's about to turn Wade's deepest fantasies into sizzling reality... Sexy Irish rock star Ronan has conquests in the thousands. Freelance journalist Grant Browder has just been dumped by his boyfriend for being boring. Now, Grant's about to get a taste of Ronan's life, profiling the bad boy off the record and under the covers on a whirlwind tour of kinky pleasures, life-or-death dangers, and public humiliations that is anything but predictable...

Bounced by his job and his lover, Brad decides to lick his wounds (and a few other things) in magical Seville. But the local site that most captivates him is swarthy student Marco De la Vega. When they lock eyes -- first in a empty sanctuary; then in a dark, smoky club -- they're ready for a holiday where every minute promises the kind of ecstasy they've only dreamed possible... Bad Boy Dreams -- that's what Erique's strict grandmother used to call his adolescent daydreams about naked older men. Like the one he can't stop having about his best friend's father, George Howard. Offering to give the strong, mature man a ride cross-country is driving Erique crazy with lust...but is it possible that the hot feelings are deeply, passionately mutual?

Publishers Weekly

Kensington sticks to the tried-and-true with another entertaining, deliciously trashy and decidedly lowbrow anthology for a gay male audience (after 2002's Summer Share and 2003's All I Want for Christmas). The four novellas, as the title suggests, focus on fantasy men; there's the pro athlete, the well-endowed rock star, the hot Spaniard and the best friend's sexy father. The pieces work best when the authors abandon any literary pretensions and just have fun-after all, fantasy fulfillment, not realism, is the point here. David Benbow's "Out of Bounds" is the story of boyhood friends who cross paths later in life. Grant, a former "fattie," is now a perfect-bodied but single real estate agent in Los Angeles, while Colton Jennings (a name straight out of porn) is a closeted star NFL quarterback, "that great combination of physical beauty, rugged strength and raw manliness." When they reconnect and the sparks fly, Benbow illustrates his skill in crafting high-charged sex scenes-a trait shared by all of these writers. The stories by Tyler and Wolfe could have been tightened with better editing, but they satisfy on an erotic level if not a literary one. The best novella in the book is Jeffrey's "Sex and the Single Rock Star," about a journalist sent to interview "the Colin Farrell of rock." The novella manages to be ridiculous, sexy, hilarious and expertly plotted to boot. This collection, though far from perfect, should satisfy readers looking for a fun-and steamy-read. (Feb.)
