Synopsis
Mandy Moore was just six years old when she saw school production of the musical Oklahoma! and told her parents she wanted to become a singer. Within a few years she had become famous in her hometown of Orlando, Florida, as "the National Anthem Girl." When she was 14 she released her first album, So Real, and it was quickly certified platinum.
Mandy's talents extend beyond singing. In 2002 she won an MTV Movie Award and two Teen Choice Awards for her starring role in the movie A Walk to Remember. Since then her film career has resulted in an increasing number of high-profile parts, in movies such as American Dreamz and Saved!, co-starring with such luminaries as Hugh Grant, Diane Keaton, and Robin Williams. What is especially remarkable is that Mandy is only in her early 20s. There is no telling how much more she will accomplish in her career.
