About the Author, John Tucker

John E Tucker holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from The American University and Strayer University and has more than thirty four years of experience in Higher Education, Information Technology, Government, and Business He has held positions as Provost, Chief Academic Officer, Senior Academic Officer, Vice President of Information Systems, Director of Systems Engineering, Dean of Curriculum Development, Dean of Academic Technology, Director of Operations, Campus Director, and Campus Dean. John was the creator of Strayer University's Distance Learning Program and server as the Director for the first two years. He served on the Board of Directors of Strayer University and helped Strayer grow from 1989-2000. John has worked in both Regional and National accredited educational institutions helping institutions obtain and maintain their accreditation.

Darrel Nerove has worked in the IT field for over 20 years in multiple areas of IT, including networking, internetworking, programming, and security. He was the Network Control Manager at the Pentagon and has been a Network Engineer and Systems Engineer on many Microsoft Server 2003 and Microsoft Server 2008 deployments in support of government and Department of Defense contracts. Additionally, Darrel teaches IT courses at the college and university level in the Northern Virginia area and online. In addition to teaching IT courses, Darrel is the Associate Dean for Information Systems at Strayer University and has been responsible for the networking, internetworking, and security curriculum within the university.

Greg Tomsho has more than 25 years of computer and networking experience and has earned the CCNA, MCTS, MCSA, A+, Security+, and Linux+ certifications. Greg is the director of the Computer Networking Technology Department and Cisco Academy at Yavapai College in Prescott, AZ. His other books include Guide to Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration, Guide to Network Support and Troubleshooting, and A+ CoursePrep ExamGuide.

Matt Tomsho has over 30 years of computer programming and networking experience working with Microsoft Windows. Currently an independent database consultant specializing in Web-based applications based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Matt has been IT Director at several Internet companies, managing Web and database servers running both Windows and Linux.

Jack Hogue has over 21 years of computing and network experience. He currently specializes in Microsoft Windows environments and also supports integration of Mac and Linux in those networks. Jack began his first Web hosting business in 1995 and has since hosted streaming media and web applications. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and is also A+ certified. Jack has been the co-owner of his current IT services business (Chordata Technologies located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) for more than 8 years with over 150 clients across the United States and Canada.
