The books' design is pleasing, with a duotone or color photo opposite each large-print page of text; decorative borders and touches of gold add to the effect, which is as if one were looking at family photo albums. Key words are in bold type, and the glossaries have guides to pronunciation. Each title has interesting sidebars and concludes with an interview with the author.
