About the Author, C. R. Nicewonger

Jeremy Montagu retired Curator of the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments in the University of Oxford, is well known as an author of books and articles on musical instruments. He has been involved in early music for nearly 40 years. Gwen Montagu studied Medieval history and culture at Cambridge University and is a member of the Royal Archaeological Institute. C.R. Nicewonger is an ardent Anglophile and photographer.
