Synopsis
The other marine engineering textbook, Marine Engineering, focuses on design, whereas this two-volume text is for students and engineers engaged in ship operations, ship maintenance and repair, and shipbuilding. The first edition was published in 1943, but the second, 50 years later, was entirely new to reflect the very different technology, and the third edition is revised from that. The two volumes are indexed separately. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
