Sheri Koones began writing about home construction after doing extensive research to complete the renovation of her own home several years ago. She found a niche in empowering other homeowners to become more knowledgeable about completing their own construction projects. Sheri's other books include From Sand Castles to Dream Houses and House About It. She is also a columnist and freelance writer.

Sheri Koones is a columnist and author who writes a regular column for Home Resource and Design Magazine. Sheri earned her B.S. degree from Boston University and her M.S. degree from Columbia University. She is a member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors, the Women's Business Development Center, the Entrepreneurial Woman's Network, the Connecticut Press Club and Fashion Group. She lives in her gorgeous dream home in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her husband and two children.
